The name Chakrasamvara (Tib: Demchog) translates as "Wheel of Bliss" and signifies the tantric emanation of the Buddha. The tantric union of Chakrasamvara with his consort Vajravarahi embodies the union of method and wisdom or bliss and emptiness. His 12 arms represent the twelve interdependent causes of rebirth, as detailed in the Wheel of Life.
